We’ve collected together some of the classic themes and motifs spanning the past 60 years, from Bernard Hermann’s daring fusion of orthodox orchestration with the use of theremins, to Gary Jules’haunting version of Tears For Fears’ Mad World, as featured in the hypnotic Donnie Darko. In the process, we’ve selected a vast range of styles from the jazz and soul-influenced compositions of Roy Budd,Isaac Hayes and Brazil’s Deodato, to electronic pioneers like Yellow Magic Orchestra’s Ryuichi Sakamoto or Philip Glass and plain old classic performers like Louis Armstrong, Shirley Bassey (where wouldwe be without at least one slice of James Bond?) or Prince.
So pour yourself that glass of something smooth, relax on the sofa, close your eyes and imagine make believe you’re in Newcastle with Michael Caine or Las Vegas with Sean Connery or a Turkish prison with Brad Davis…. All human life is here.

This is one great CD! I love the variety of films and genres represented.

Fantastic
Curled up on the sofa, clock chimes 9pm, and the only acceptable thing to do is don the skullcandys and double tap the play button. out comes a medley of tunage and spoken word, mix together like water and flour to create something suprisingly delightful and taste. so many great track that you never new you could get. one of the best, not just sountrack ablums but alround entertainment package. get it or live you life just slightly empty.......

I'm loving the insertion of excerpts from movies
What can I say ! 43 tracks for 10€ and the idea of including dialogues from classic movies is just perfect.
I've always loved this idea. Wether it was on SecretAgent radio on SomaFM, Tarantino's OST, or Radio Nova jingles it's just a great idea.
It's incredible the felling you get when you just hear a couple of sentences taken from a movie : the evocative power is so strong and it's enough to open a new world in your head. Moreover, it works even (even better ?) if you haven't seen the movie !
You guys should really dig the concept and submit it to Directors or Dj's, I'm sure it would be the birth of a new successful Azuli collection !
